| This study attempted to develop the "Sensory Sensitivity Scale" for Japanese adults. In the first part, undergraduates(n=351) rated for 115 items collected from various sources. By analyzing their responses,"Adult Sensory Sensitivity Index" (ASSI) of 28 items was finally fixed. The scale proved to have singlefactoredstructure and internal consistency. In the second part, ASSI was administered to another undergraduates(n=271). The test-retest analysis over five weeks confirmed its high stability. Also, responseswith ASSI showed a construct validity for relationship either with emotionality of Big Five or STAI. | ||||||
