| 内容記述 | The purposes of this study were to examine the meaning of the fast break in handball games and to find factors which may play an important role to make a score with the fast break. In order to examine them, all the women's games after semifinal leagues of 91 All Japan Intercollegiate Handball championship were recorded in video tapes, and they were analysed to calculate the rate of success, the rate of miss in offences and so on. The main results were as follows : (1) The average number of times in offences per game was 67.1 in the best 8 teams of the championship. The games were played in high tempo. But we can not say that the competition level of the championship was high, because the rate of successes in offences was low and the rate of ball losses was high. (2) The proportion of the score with the fast break to the score excepting the score with the penalty throw was 30 to 40 percent. The fast break played a much more important role in the strategy of offence. The mean of scores and the proportion with the fast break were different between 4 highest ranking teams and 4 Lowest ranking teams. (3) The fast break is apt to lose the ball with an error in comparison with the set offence. (4) The kind of fast breaks from the lost ball by an opponent occupies over 50 percent of all kinds of fast breaks. Although there were not any differences between 4 highest ranking teams and 4 lowest ranking teams in the score with the first fast break, there was a difference in the score with the second fast break. When an opponent lost the ball in error, 4 highest ranking teams made a score more effectively than 4 lowest ranking teams. (5) 54 percent of the first fast breaks was attacked by court players who followed the lost ball. About 40 percent of the second fast breaks was attacked by the goal keeper after the defence against the shoot, and another about 40 percent was by court players who followed the lost ball. (6) The chance of attacks happened with ball loss in the rate of 30 to 40 percent of them. Many scenes of ball loss were linked with the first fast breaks. The success rate of them is higher than that of the set offences or the second fast breaks. To increase a score with the fast breaks, it is important to try to attack with the fast break actively, because over 30 percent of offences follows shoot misses. Accordingly, the goal keeper must control a shot ball well enough to attack with the fast break. | |||||
