The results were as follows. (1) The relation between the results mesured by DEXA in different parts was very high, therefore, it is possible to estimate the bone mass of lumbar spine, by measurement of calcaneus. (2) BAR is useful to conjecture the bone mass in screening, because of high correlation among BMD and BAR. (3) The correlation coefficient between BMD and BAR at calcaneus was 0.592. This results would mean the difference of quality among two methods, BMD and BAR.
