内容記述 | The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of functional imbalance of anti-gravity muscles by sectional muscle fatigue on the stability of upright standing. Five healthy untrained male subjects participated in this study. Back muscles, quadriceps femoris and triceps surae were fatigued by machine exercise. The subjects stared at a fixed point, and the sway of the center of gravity at each condition of muscle fatigue was measured in Romberg's posture by 'GRAVICORDER' with the eyes open. Measurement time was 30 seconds. LNG (length). ENV (enveloped area). DX (deviation of sway in X-axis direction) and DY (deviation of sway in Y-axis direction) were measured. The results were as follows : 1. Sway of the center of gravity was increased by sectional muscle fatigue, and decreased according to recovery from the fatigue. 2. By comparing the sway of each muscle fatigue condition, significant difference was found only in DX. In conclusion, these results suggest that functional imbalance of anti-gravity muscles by sectional muscle fatigue increases sway of the center of gravity, and the increase in the sway is mainly caused by peripheral muscle fatigue. | |||||
