| 内容記述 | Summary. Skinfold choice for studies of human subcutaneous fat patterning will focus on the appropriate site for a more detailed description of fat distribution pattern. Here the subcutaneous fat thicknesses were measured ultrasonically at 26 pairs of sites which had the same name on both sides of the trunk and extremities. Eightyfive healthy Japanese females volunteered to participate as subjects in this study. Their average age, height, and weight were 19.5 yrs, 160.3cm, and 57.7kg, respectively. The correlation coefficients of the subcutaneous fat thickness between left and right sides of the same name were 0.64 to 0.97. All of these coefficients were statistically significant (p<0.001). This result shows that skinfolds measured on either site of the trunk and extremities can describe the subcutancous fat distribution pattern on both sides of them. | |||||
