内容記述 The purpose of this study was to determine effects of the mental preparatory sets on jumping. For this purpose, 23 undergraduate students including 13 males and 10 females who were varsity track athletes, were participate in this experiment. All subjects were asked to perform jumping reaction on the force platform. By set preference, the 23 subjects were divided into three groups which were called motor set group, neutral set group and sensory set group. All subjects were required to perform under three conditions, the payoff of movement (Motor Set Condition : MSC), the payoff of stimulus (Sensory Set Condition : SSC) and the free payoff without any instructions (Control Set Condition : CSC). Following a pre-practice period (5 trials), subjects performed 10 trials under three conditions. Three kinds of times were analysed in the following manner. First, the pre-reaction time (Reaction Time : RT) defined as the time from the onset signal to starting of movement was measured. Secondary, the whole body reaction time (Whole Reaction Time : WRT) defined as the time from onset signal to take-off was measured. Thirdly, the movement time (Kicking Time : KT) defined as the time substracted RT from WRT was taken. The ANOVA revealed that the mean RT, the mean KT and the mean WRT were greater for MSC than for the other conditions statistically significant. Three subjects showed different frequency of non-weight phase to three conditions which were more less frequency of non-weight phase in SSC than in MSC and CSC. This results sugest that reaction is different as mental preparatory sets.
