As a result of experiments focusing on his Sayo-ashi, we have obtained th following consequences. In the case where the active partner's cervical joints were restricted, they could not bend forward at the moment when he attempted to do \"kake\" and since flextional tonic neck reflexes emerged with restraint, the bending movement of his lower limbs was held back while their extention movement was promoted. In other words, because the hip joint of his actioned foot was forced into hip flexion more than it needed and the knee joint accordingly extended unnecessarily, a tendency appeared that the movement of Ohsoto-gari became overexpanded and the time required for the technique became longer.
