| 内容記述 | The celebration of the twenty-fourth Olympic Games took place in 1988, Seoul, the Republic of Korea. For better or worse, the '88 Seoul Olympics, more or less, as same as the others, have performed it's important political roles. The use of sport for political reasons in the Republic of Korea can be divided into two parts : one is for the political stability in it's own country, and the other is for the recognition from all over the world as a prominent country. Sport, especially Olympic Games constituted an exceptionally strong element of social integration in the Republic of Korea. This was shown as the Democratization Declaration, July 29, 1987. The Seoul Olympics, also, opened it's foreign attitude for the socialist states, specially, the People's Republic of China, USSR, and so forth. Thus, the Republic of Korea have used the biggest international sporting event to further her own political aspects. The author debated these problems, and pointed out that the various problems which faced the Seoul Olympic Games. | |||||
