| 内容記述 | The purpose of the present paper is to see, after a brief description of the basic similarities and differences between English and Japanese with special reference to their Aspectual expressions, what kind of conflicts are created by the native language in the study of English by a Japanese student, and to consider how we should make use of the knowledge thus acquired, in the teaching of English. The items to be considered will be as follows : - 1. The meaning of Aspects 2. Aspects in English 3. Aspects in Japanese 4. Comparison of English and Japanese Aspects 5. Theory of Transfer 6.
