| 内容記述 | The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of physical training on bicycle ergometer in 6 sedentary middle and old-aged men (aged from 33 to 48). The subjects in this study were performed 30 minutes bicycling a day, two times a week through 12 weeks on the bicycle ergometer. The intensity of training was equivalent to 60% of VO_2 max. Maximum and submaximum aerobic power output were tested before and after the training by means of bicycle ergometer exercise and treadmill walking. Results obtained from this study were as follows : It was obserbed that the increase of endurance time (BE : 16.6%, TM : 8.6%) and VO_2 max (BE : 18.2%, TM : 13.4%) by training were statisticaly significant. The magnitude of maximum heart rate, however, was almost the same before and after training. Maximum ventilation improved significantly with training, and this increase was due to increase of tidal volume and respiratory frequency at exhaustion on treadmill walking. | |||||
